GHEDEX Awards to Recognize the Best Universities and Colleges in Oman

Global Higher Education Exhibition (GHEDEX) endorsed by Oman Vision 2040 and under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education Research and Innovation (MoHERI), Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Labor and partnering with Oman Accreditation Academic Authority and Quality Assurance for Education (OAAAQAE) is coming this year in its 21st edition on 27-29 March 2022 at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.  The exhibition is the official, oldest and leading event in the Sultanate for Higher Education and it provides a great opportunity for universities and colleges to connect and interact with students, parents, and officials.

On the 28th of March, Ghedex will be holding the only and the biggest Nation-Wide Awards Ceremony in Oman which will be a special recognition and appreciation for universities and colleges that have created a big difference in higher education in Oman. The categories of the awards will be on: Citations & Publications, Research Project, Global Ranking, Globalization, International Students Ratio, Diversity of Faculty Researchers and Scientist Academic Ratio, Faculty and Student Ratio, Accreditation, Students Support, Entrepreneur Development, Campus Placement, Leadership Development, Advanced Tech ,and Best Employer. There will also be two categories titled Best College Public Choice, and Best University Public Choice; the public choice awards will be run by Arabian Research Bureau - ARB via the GHEDEX Hub App to give the community an opportunity to choose their favorite.

Ghedex Awards Committee will follow a detailed set of rules and procedures that facilitates the judging panel and the judging process in the evaluation of the awards’ winners. The judging panel will consist of government, non-government, senior experts who are not biased with any of the participating universities, colleges or competitors.  The procedures are impartial, transparent, independent, and neutral. 

Omani universities and colleges who wish to nominate themselves can choose a maximum of three categories and must complete the form of intent to participate in the awards by the deadlines. Then the winners will be announced at the Ghedex awards ceremony, which will be attended by a number of government officials and other senior dignitaries. The awards aim to put Omani Universities and Colleges on the Regional and Global recognition list and promote Study in Oman opportunities among the Universities & Colleges by focusing on Quality & Excellence in Higher Education delivered in the Sultanate of Oman.
